The Difference Between Vectored & Non-Vectored Images

 

Vector artwork is digital artwork composed of mathematical lines and curves and is typically made in Illustrator or a similar program.

 

You can tell from looking at the image up above, that a vectored image is much better quality. Vectored images can be resized an infinite number of times and still retain it’s quality.

 

Files such as JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, and BMP do not preserve vector and will never contain vectored art. Files such as AI, EPS, and PDF can contain vector, but it does not mean that the art inside is actually vectored.
